Our Journey
NIKISHA
Our love romance all started on August 2019 in New York City. Manny saw me at a mutual friend’s get together and for him, it was love at first sight. A couple months later he some how managed to get my number from a mutual friend, and that’s when I got a text “Hey, its Manny from New York.” Since then we stayed in contact and checked up on each other once awhile. In February of 2020 he spontaneously decided to move to Canada for “work”, I mean.. let’s be honest I believe he took the opportunity because of me. So from Massachusetts to Toronto this is when our love story began. Manny was so persistent and me on the other hand I was focused on getting my RN licence. That did not stop Manny, he fell involve with my drive to become a licensed nurse. I had many excuses in the book a girl could use. “I am tired, maybe another time” or “ I am studying today, I can’t come out.” Manny would even stay on FaceTime with me and pull all nighters with me while I was studying and offer to help me aswell. In September of 2020 I finally decided to give him a chance and we got to know each other more, we adventured many food places together (me being a foodie), Our favourite place to go was Coco fresh and Hong Shing. By December 2020 I found myself falling in love with a man who just spotted me from across the room. We became inseparable ever since and on January 23rd on my birthday I said YES to the man of my dreams. I cannot imagine life with anyone else. We have purchased our first home together, visited Family in Ghana and Nigeria On July 7th I officially become Mrs. Aidoo and I am so excited for what God has in store for our future.

This was a surprised birthday party for Nikisha and all along Manny had a different agenda. So he asked the billion dollar question and our Queen Nikisha said YES.

I first met Niki in New York city in the year 2019. I went to a party with my boys then I spotted this young lady with her girls, I suddenly knew this woman was different. So i made the move to talk to her and you know Niki she cut the convo short and said she gotta go without giving me a number. So i went to the guy who organized the party to ask about Niki only to find out they were from Canada. Fortunately, close to the end of the year my company needed someone for a project in Canada and as soon as i heard that i told my boss i want the project. So Feb 2020 i moved here from Massachusetts. My friend tried to connect me with her friend and guess what it was Niki. I instantly took her number and called her, “No Answer”. So i texted hey this is Manny and she responded with “I’m a bit busy, will message you later”. The hide and seek and I’m busy game went on for a while then one day i had to give one of my guys my car and was suppose to pick me up after, but he got caught up. So I tried my luck and texted Niki if she can give me a ride and she agreed after all the hide and seek game. I actually enjoyed the ride and the conversation with her on our way to my condo. So we got to my place and I managed to convince her to stay a bit so we ordered hong Shing. From that free ride to my condo then we began to really talk on a daily basis, we would stay on the phone for hours and have a really good vibe. So I decided to go the extra mile and asked her on a date and took her to Lavelle and gave her some queen treatment. We began seeing each other everyday and we started talking about the future, our plans and our ideas were really in line with each other, the feelings i had for her grew stronger. So around November i started planning what i will do for her birthday which was supposed to be just us but then I decided to pop the question so i had to change course and secretly invite all the friends i knew and get someone to decorate my place. At that point i knew i had fallen deeply in love, so on January 23 on her birthday she never expected it but i asked her to marry me and she said yes.
